Today in a word? Amazing.

It went from an ouch-my-teeth-hurt-so-bad day to an oh-my-fucking-god-did-i-just-really-hug-them day. God, I still can’t believe it.

I got to the Skydome at around two or two-thirty, and I went straight to the Pulp Royalty line. It was a little long, but not too long. I saw Tricia almost immediately and she made everything awkward (in a really good way). Later on her friends Moira and Prabha caught up, and then I found Erycka. They started calling the names of those whose ID cards were ready. Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of them, so I had to stay in line. Erycka and Tricia had theirs ready though.

After a ton of waiting (totally worth it, by the way) I finally got in, and This Century just finished their interview with VJ Chino from Myx (lucky bastard), and We Are the In Crowd was next. Screams. Screams everywhere.

Soon the actual acoustic sets started and again, screams. Joel and Sean were perfect as always, and if I remember correctly, they played Everywhere Everything, Sound of Fire, and then Bleach Blonde. IT WAS PERF OKAY

Afterwards, Alex and Ryan came out to answer some questions from the guestlist people persons~

Sean is the mermaid king, and Joel did an impression of John O’Callaghan that was SPOT. ON. He even held the mic like John. “HEY EVERYBODY WAZZUP MAN!!” Ugh, h o w.

After that, it was We Are The In Crowd’s turn! They came out and played four songs (they did one more because of the crowd) and I’m sorry but I don’t remember the order of which they played, but I know they played Never Be What You Want first, and the Kiss Me Again third. They sounded even better live, I swear.

And then they did a Q&A which was, admittedly, HILARIOUS. Someone asked Tay about the kiss with Alex, and she said it wasn’t bad. Someone asked Cameron how he felt cockblocking it, and he said he felt better about wearing the coat he was wearing than before. Another girl asked how they felt about being compared to Paramore, and Tay was like, “What’s Paramore?” AND I DIED. And there were a few marriage proposals here and there, as well.

MEET AND GREET TIME! I’m going to fast forward all the others to when I met This Century with my friend Angela. (No more pictures, aw.)

They had announced only a few minutes before that hugs weren’t allowed, unless you did it really quickly because they were running out of time. So, as usual, the bouncers were mean assholes about it.

Still, when it was finally my turn, I literally ran to Sean and hugged him tight. Gosh, he was so skinny! He was saying something about me being so excited, or him being excited. I don’t even remember, I was too caught up. I hugged Alex too, and half-hugged Joel. I raised up the bag of Crackerjacks I got them, because during the Bleach Blonde livechat, Joel laughed at my name on Twitter which was Crackerjack Manfredo (coincidentally Pat Kirch’s stripper name) TWICE. Alex was like, “Crackerjack!” and Joel said thanks, before we took the picture. We had originally planned on asking them to a Japan, Japan pose, but you know, bouncers will be bouncers.

We went back to our seats and I had realized that I didn’t get to hug the one person I really wanted to hug: Ryan. Of course, I’d want to hug him, he’s one of my drum idols!! Nyugh. :-(

This time they had announced that there was going to be no hugging whatsoever. I was pissed, and it wasn’t fair, but I took my chances. (More on that later.)

We ran up the stage, and the instructions were: Go in the middle. Smile. Get down. 

But of course, I wouldn’t follow.

I ran to Mike because he was beside Tay, who was in the middle, and hugged him. Then I looked up at him and was like, “Can you do the Home Alone pose?” I demonstrated for him and he laughed and nodded, telling Jordan about it. So yeah, home alone pose.

Here’s the fun part: after the picture, I realized I was still holding my letter for them, so I panicked. I looked to my left, and Jordan was there, so I decided I’d go with him. “JORDAN!” -He looks- “HERE!” -I thrust the letter- “HUG!” -And then I hug him- I swear, if looks could kill, the bouncer would be held liable for murder.

But hey, no regrets at all. I hugged Jordan mother fucking Eckes, man.

When everyone was finished, they lined everyone up for a signing. 

Me to Ryan: Hey Ryan! I play drums too!
Ryan: Cool! -we knuckle touch and I die-

Me to Sean: Hey Sean!
Sean: Hey!
Me: Can you please write my name?
Sean: Sure, what is it?
Me: Denise. D-E-N-I-S-E.
Sean: Alright, -as he writes- To Denise, with heart. Here you go!
Me: Thank you! 

Me to Alex: Hey Alex!! What’s up?
Alex: Hey! Thanks for coming!

Me to Joel: Hey Joel!! Remember Crackerjack Manfredo from the livechat?
Joel: I’m sorry?
Me: Do you remember Crackerjack Manfredo from the livechat the other day?
Joel: Oh, yeah! Was that you?
Me: Yeah, that was me!

So there. Aside from the signed albums, I also got a poster and two shirts. Today was awesome.
